- Adjustment to Modern Life (College of St. Benedict/St. John's University,
MN) Richard M. Wielkiewicz. This is a course web site, but as a course it probably
doesnt belong here. The reason it is listed here is because Dr. Wielkiewicz provides
in his "course related web links" a large and well maintained list of cool
sites, many of which would be of interest to you and your students. http://employees.csbsju.edu/rwielk/psy220/default.htm
- Basic Course Home Page: This site is maintained by the Department of
Communication Studies, University of Kansas, for the NCAs Basic Course Commission.
The site provides reviews of instructional resources including books, software, and
equipment. The links index is big and has brief descriptions. http://www.cc.ukans.edu/~sypherh/bc/bcrev.html
(Not active as of September 14, 2003)
- The Management Assistance Program for Nonprofits is a professional organization
which has a well maintained library of web resources. It is aimed at the manager of
"human resources." Still, many interpersonal and small group instructors will
find the Free Management Library a gold mine for linking to some free, well-done
web sites. The general categories which are likely to be of interest include:
communication (interpersonal), group performance, group skills, guiding skills,
interpersonal skills, interviewing, and leadership development. Under these categories you
will find sub-categories. For example, under interpersonal skills you will find conflict,
etiquette, handling difficult people, valuing diversity, negotiating, and office politics.

- Instructional modules on communication & diversity: The U.S. Army,
Fort Bliss, has an interesting web page providing course materials. These materials appear
to have been created by their Equal Opportunity office. These documents detail
instructions on a variety of subjects likely to be of interest to interpersonal, small
group, intercultural, and gender communication instructors. The modules present
introductions, exercises, and sometimes testing methods. Click here for a list of the
documents (modules) available at this site. They are in Microsoft Word format. Go to the

statement about conflict resolution presented by the United Planetary Federation/Unified
Peace Foundation. "To achieve consensus, we must overcome four major obstacles: 1.The
complexity of ideas. 2.The limitations of the written word. 3.The fact that everyone views
life and the world a bit differently. 4.The unpredictable nature of accidents that can
occur at any time at any level or in any space of life for any number of reasons." http://upf.org/transcon.htm

communication style and how personality differences can result in communication
problems. http://www.keirsey.com/

books and periodicals). This is a plain text site, apparently not current. When we visited
